Xiaomi has introduced the Mi Reader, which has a 6-inch E-Ink display with a resolution of 1024 × 768 pixels, anti-glare coating and 24-level backlighting. According to the manufacturer, the book will be comfortable to read in any lighting conditions. The gadget has a quad-core Allwinner B300 processor with a clock speed of up to 1.8 GHz. It is supplemented by 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory, which is enough for about 5,000 e-books. Xiaomi Mi Reader runs on a modified Android 8.1 Oreo and supports a wide variety of electronic document formats, including TXT, EPUB, PDF and Office files. Small dimensions and a weight of 178 grams make it convenient to use the device with one hand. The e-reader will work for several weeks without recharging. This autonomy is provided by a 1,800 mAh battery, which is charged via a USB-C port. Mi Reader will be available in only one color option with a white front panel and a dark gray back. The price of the new product is 579 yuan (≈5,300 rubles). Deliveries will begin on December 18.
